Robin has been practicing general pediatrics since 1999. She received her medical education at the University of Iowa Medical School after completing undergraduate degree at Luther College obtaining a BA in Biology and Music. After graduation from the University of Iowa she completed her internship and residency locally at the Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated Pediatrics Program. Robin is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her past interest in training for triathlons has been replaced by chasing around her husband and beautiful 3 girls, all 5 and under!
Brandon Clark, MBA, FACHE
Circle the City is nonprofit community health organization dedicated to serving people experiencing homelessness in the greater Phoenix community. Under Mr. Clark’s leadership Circle the City has grown from startup status in 2012 into one of the nation’s premiere homeless-specialty healthcare organizations, now with multiple sites of service throughout Maricopa County and more than 100 dedicated team members. As a leader of one of the most advanced medical respite programs in the U.S., Mr. Clark provides significant technical assistance to other emerging respite programs both locally and nationally. He has been a featured presenter at events hosted by the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council and the Corporation for Supportive Housing, and is widely considered a thought leader in the emerging social determinants of health field. Mr. Clark currently serves as the Chairman of the Respite Care Provider’s Network Steering Committee, a council advocating for the systematic advancement of the medical respite model of care. Mr. Clark serves on several other nonprofit boards including the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council, the Arizona Alliance of Community Health Centers and Hushabye Nursery, an Arizona charity dedicated to caring for substance-exposed newborns in their first weeks of life.Mr. Clark has more than a decade of experience in healthcare management, finance and strategy, most recently working in a director capacity for Banner Health prior to joining Circle the City in 2012. Brandon holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Brandon currently lives in Mesa with his wife, two daughters and dog, and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and running.
Joyce Bulman, RN, MBA, CHPCA
Joyce has spent the last 20 years working in the health care arena in both the clinical and management settings. From beginning of life to end of life, she has had the honor to serve thousands of patients and families.She began her nursing career as a hospital nurse specializing in the areas of medical/surgical/ and orthopedics. She then transitioned into Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care where she spent several years taking care of the most fragile of lives. In 2003, she accepted a management position with a hospital based, nonprofit Hospice and Home Health agency in North Dakota.In 2012 she relocated to Arizona and began working for Hospice of the Valley. She has served in the roles of Director of Clinical Operations, Director of Quality and Compliance and in 2015 was named V.P of Clinical Operations which includes oversight of the Pediatric Hospice and Pediatric Palliative Care program. She received her certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator in 2012.Joyce has served as a member of the board of the Arizona Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and as chair of the AHPCO Regulatory Committee. She currently serves on the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation’s Regulatory Committee and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association Advocacy Council.
Antoinette L. Sheen, MBA
Retired from a career in healthcare that spans 40 years. Was an Associate with W. L. Gore & Associates on the Health Economics Team for 11 years. Commitments included assessments of coverage, coding and reimbursement policies affecting physicians, hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers related to procedures using Gore medical products. These assessments provided comprehensive advice and information to the medical product business units on the health economic environment. Interacted with Medicare, other third party payers, physicians, hospitals and other stakeholders to develop policy changes where appropriate. Also served as chairman of the the AdvaMed Payment Policy Committee plus participated on other AdvaMed Work Group healthcare initiatives for recommendations on legislation and regulations.Worked in healthcare finance for over 25 years prior to joining W. L. Gore. Held the positions of Assistant Vice-President of Finance for Augusta Medical Center (an Integrated Delivery System – IDN), Chief Operating Officer of a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) Augusta Health Alliance, Chief Financial Officer of a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) Valley Health Network, and other hospital finance administrative positions in Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.Obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from LaRoche College and an MBA degree from the Executive Program at Duke University, Fuqua School of Business. A former member of HFMA since 1986.
